Animated Boss
Project Description
This Project is a procedurally animated boss fight with bone movement, IK rigs, and constraints using Unitys Animation Rigging plugin. This was made for the Procedural Animation course at Ferris.
The boss is a German Shephard, and the boss fight itself is simple as all the focus was on the animations.
Responsibilities
Using the animation rigging plugin, I created multiple procedural animations to help make the boss feel alive.
These animations include a walk cycle, turn cycle, head aim movement, slight ear twitches, random tail wagging / movement, and a bite animation that served as an attack. All of these were created with IK rigs and constraints manipulating the bones in the model, and are controlled via separate scripts that determine when these animations will play.
The head follows an aim constraint that lerps its position towards the player to create a smooth animation.
